"You Stupid" is directed to the pitcher Daniel Cabrera and the stupid blind ump. Lugo's up for the second time tonight, steps out of the box in which I guess he didn't think he needed to call 'time' cause it seemed obvious, and gets a strike. This is understandable, he should have called time, thats how it works, but the pitcher saw it and still threw the ball (And hey, if Dice-K can understand what an ump says in english, you should be able to too!). This isn't the frustrating part yet. The part that makes me angry is that Lugo was talking to the ump after he called strike, you know saying he was out of the box and all, and the idiot pitcher starts pitching BEFORE LUGO WAS IN THE BOX. He didn't step in the box at all and got strike 2. Total BS man. And just to add, Cabrera, fix your pants, they're crooked and your butt seam is all over your left butt cheek you dolt!

Well at least A Cor hit his first home run of the season, OH BABY! How sweet it was.

I must take some time to talk about Vladimir Guerrero's really really tight pants. I really do think they're cutting the circulation off in his legs, cause I don't think he can bend his legs very well. They're so tight, I can see the seems of his pockets bulging out. I'm guessing the only upside is that his tight pants allow his to run so fast, after all, he stole 8 bases this season so far. How did I not notice this before?

Spring's the busiest time for me. I have sports, MCAS, finals, little time to pull my GPA up... then there's baseball. As much as I would rather watch baseball than all that fun school work, I can't. As least not for another month or so. So don't expect many Red Sox posts, I'll catch as many games as I can (which is more like the middle of a couple games every week) watch some on mlb.tv, get the scores and read the articles, as well as occasionally catch NESN if I can. If there's something that really jumps out at me I'll post it if theres time.

Such as Mike Lowell's THREE errors in one game. What? What? What? Yeah, and that was on my birthday too. Pretty bumming there but hey Mike can get a slip up now and there it's normal. We'll just have to say Lex Luther spiked Superman's drink or something.

I must say Little Dusty is doing pretty well, I hope he can keep it up for awhile, same to J.D. Drew. I hope Coco will do well, hope he'll get more hits. I can't wait to see Timlin back on the mound!

I loved Julian Tavarez as a starter last year, he did amazing! I got my wish that he would return as a starting pitcher for 2007 AND in order to get that position, no body was injured in the process! Tavarez is taking JPaps spot in the starting rotation, and JPaps is going to be the CLOSER! Dude I'm even more psyched for this season.

For many years there have been really, really, really bad roster photos where many people make fun of them. We are here today to continue that tradition, so without further ado, here are the nominations for the Best and Worst Roster Photo:

Not a bad smile on Beckett here, but he looks funny without side fuzz.
Dude it's Max from Grease: You're the one that I want! Hey look, one chin, two chin... Well he's smiling now, last year it looked like an evil death glare- like if you made one bad science joke he'd put HCl on you.

So far I've only seen 3 and a half innings of the first spring training game. That's all I'm watching tonight, mom wins, so American Idol will be on for the rest of the night. When I turned on NESN, I heard Don and Jerry. I really did miss Don and Jerry's voice. And Jerry's slimmer! I must say, I probably won't be a fan of Julio Lugo much cause, um, I saw Gonzo play last year. Julio, already made one error, he threw the ball off target and hey, there's a man on base! He did redeem himself though, by knocking Pedroia in. Oh man, Pedroia is one slim beast. You can just tell he's been working hard in the offseason. Ok, ok, I like Dusty fairly well, he's decent. Funny how Youk told him last year that he had to be in shape and he couldn't walk in being fat and all, looking like he could eat a kid. Kidding. But now Youk's walking in with some fur, and you know all those faces Youk makes? Well with the fur, he looks scary, like eating children.

-- Wily Mo Pena fouled a ball off his foot in BP and somewhat incredibly said that's the first time that's happened to him.

-- Jason Varitek looked like a sci-fi creature while testing a pair of those infrared contact lenses. Varitek said it's supposed to help with contrast in color, something that might be useful in Fenway's shadows. There was no corrective aspect to the lenses: Varitek has spectacular 20-10 vision.

-- Dustin Pedroia, who boasted of his ping-pong prowess in my colleague Amalie Benjamin's nice feature today, ratcheted the stakes today when he said he and doubles partner Kevin Youkilis could not only beat anyone in the Sox clubhouse but any other twosome "in the world." I'm a good basement player myself, but I'm hoping some of my Japanese colleagues are world class and will put these guys in their place. Youks is challenging the Globe to come up with the scratch to import a table so a tournament can be held this March. Gotta run that one by the bosses.

Scoot over Matsuzaka, the King of Spring Training has arrived. Way before spring training had even started, Daisuke Matsuzaka has been the center of attention of Red Sox baseball. The arrival of David Ortiz has put a slight jolt in his fame. We shall see tomorrow if Matsuzaka craziness continues or not. I leave you with this photo.

Coco Crisp everyone! He has decided to grow fur on his head. If you ask me, the fro fur's a bit intimidating, I don't know why but it just is. He's got a bit of a Norbit thing going on.
